Building a mother in laws quarters part 4 (Act Two...)

So, what do we girls do when we go to the cabin?  We find our own fun.

For example, we ride four wheelers: 

We sit on our butts and listen to our ipods....

We take goofy pictures of our mom....

We head into town and eat yummy peanut butter pie at the best hamburger joint in town!

We snap pictures of grapes on our property ... 

poisonous grapes, probably because the birds don't even eat these!

take pictures of the only flower that is on our property...

we sit in the camper and cool off and watch movies

we go to our neighbor Shaun's house and look at his birdhouses 

and the blue eggs that are in them (now, that was cool!)

We buy a cheap bat & ball from Walmart, hit the ball high in the tree until it is stuck in the tree -- and proceed to hit the tree with said bat until the ball falls... the tree doesn't even move when the bat hits the tree...

we take pictures of the cool dead bug that was killed by the bug zapper

we go back over to Shaun's cabin and wait for the hummingbirds to grace us with their presence... and manage to snap a mediocre picture of a hummingbird...

we steal mom's camera while she's in the shower and take weird pictures:

 Ummm.... Katie's wearing only one sock.

one child sleeps until 10:00 a.m. on the last day, not even waking up to the nail gun and compressor going since 6:30 that morning

get in the truck to go home and do crafts:

bracelets for Katie

and duct tape rose pens for Maddie

Finish up our trip with quizzes such as "This state is known for ______" and the girls have to guess (Memphis is NOT a state Katie so quit guessing Memphis over & over again!) -- and spelling quizzes.

Mike: Maddie, spell maple

Maddie: M-A-P-L-E

Katie: (interrupting) nuh-uh!! It's spelled M-A-P-E-L

and to think she's a pretty good speller.... most of the time.
